Tonight I participated in a pastel workshop with members of ARTinA. Below is the painting I created. Pic journal has additional pictures from the workshop.
I also painted this mixed media painting during the Nell Tilton "Abstract Painitng Workshop" during "The Colony" at Metairie Park Country Day. We were shown how to use modeling paste first and then glaze on paint on top.
These four collages were created in a Nell Tilton "Abstract Painting Workshop" during "The Colony" at Metairie Park Country Day. Scroll down to see the rest of the works.
This is a collage based on an experience. A month before creating this, I had taken a class on creativity. The piece contains artifacts from the class: illustrations, documentation, copied pages from journals and so on. I used colored pencil to help unite the elements and add a bit of color. Again this is a piece I completed during a Lory Lockwood "Feminist Art Workshop" at the "The Colony" held by Metairie Park Country Day.
The same summer I participated in the Lory Lockwook "Feminist Art Workshop," I also took feminist art workshop. For this piece we were shown Ida Kohlmeyer pieces and asked to create our own works based on what she was doing. This is the art I created.
This piece was inspired by two sophomore boys who were playing tic tac toe. They kept playing and playing. I painted this during the same "Abstract Painting" workshop with Karen Stasny. We were given free reign on our imagery.
It was during an "Abstract Painting Workshop" with Karen Stasny that I made this painting. The workshop was part of Metairie Park Country Day's "The Colony." Oh, and my drawing partner for this portrait happened to be my former kindergarten teacher.
During a "Found Objects Workshop," I created this piece. It was part of the Louisiana Art Education Association State Conference that took place in St. Charles, LA.
