Red

While sorting through some papers, I finally located a group of collages from an Abstract Painting class from Metairie Park Country Day's "The Colony." This is one of eight collages I made under the instruction by Karen Stasny.

Concentric Circles

At a National Art Education Association Convention in Boston in 2004, I attended an “Ice Cream Party” sponsored by Stafford. Around the room there were tables designated for using Stafford products to create art projects. Below is what I made with a coffee filter, Sharpie markers and paint pens. Naturally I gravitated to making a dot piece.

Convention Center

At a National Art Education Association Convention in Boston in 2004, I attended an “Ice Cream Party” sponsored by Stafford. Around the room there were tables designated for using Stafford products to create art projects. Below is what I made using Nu Pastels on top of map images and an illustration of the convention center. I had not used Nu Pastels with water before.

Marbleized Paper

Since Katrina I have been looking for some marbleized paper I made during a talent visual art workshop. Just recently I came across the pieces. We dripped enamel paint on the surface of water in a metal pan. Janelle Trosclair demonstrated the technique to us. There are eight of these altogether. Many of them look like the abstract paintings I make.
